CRASH is excited to partner with The Big Construction Diversity Challenge and eager to discover the opportunities and experiences that await the teams participating in the 2025 event. This collaboration promises to not only enhance our commitment to fostering diversity within the construction industry but also to create engaging experiences for all involved. We look forward to joining forces with the teams and participants, sharing insights, and collectively working towards a more inclusive and equitable future in the construction sector. With shared goals and a passion for change, we believe the upcoming challenge will be a remarkable journey of growth and innovation for everyone.

Chief Executive of CRASH, Trisha Pickersgill, says: “Projects can vary in size and scale and can be anything from installing a defibrillator to a complete refurbishment or just bringing a tired building up to date, and we are there to support the projects, many of which without CRASH’S backing just wouldn’t happen.

We have 34 patron companies that support us by donating their invaluable skills and expertise or offering free or discounted products. Through the fundraising efforts of our patrons and supporters CRASH can also award financial grants to projects.

We are delighted that CRASH will be involved in the first Big Construction Diversity Challenge 2025, and we look forward to it growing and becoming an annual event to encourage equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I).”

‘The UK construction industry charity since 1996’

Their mission revolves around transforming environments for those in need, specifically in homelessness projects and hospices. By doing so, they aim to create spaces that not only shelter but also nurture, fostering a sense of dignity and hope for some of society’s most marginalised members.

Through their partnership with the Big Construction Diversity Challenge 2025, they aim to further their mission of creating places that truly care, rallying the industry to make a lasting difference in communities across the country.

CRASH is the construction industry’s charity that helps homelessness and hospice organisations with their construction projects – creating places that care for people when they’re at their most vulnerable.

CRASH unites the industry and channels the expertise and products of companies, to transform hostels and day centres for people who are homeless across the UK. CRASH also helps children and adults who need hospice care, by creating caring environments where families can spend precious time together.
